French in the Mediterranean

	You wish to learn French or to improve your French knowledge and would like to learn quickly to communicate confidently in French. You have only a couple of weeks or several months at your disposal and you would like to study in one of France’s year round most attractive regions. We at I.L.A. commit ourselves to high quality teaching and services, which is your guarentee of a successful stay. Not only do we provide efficient, effective training in a friendly atmosphere, but we will also be there for you to advise and guide you throughout your stay with us.
	Our successful method is based on: · Small class sizes with 3 – 10 students allowing for active participation of all students in the class · Highly qualified and experienced teachers, whose mother tongue is French, devoted to giving dynamic and effective tuition to help you study. · Our pragmatic and effective teaching method, which emphasises on the oral communication skills without neglecting all other aspects of the language, provides you with all necessary language skills and cultural awareness enabling you to communicate in French.
	Location of I.L.A I.L.A. welcomes you in the very heart of Montpellier’s beautiful historic center in a charming private mansion house dating back to the 18th century. From here it is only a very short walk to all sights of the city and its monuments. Our classrooms are well equipped and air-conditioned.
	Internet and e-mail access I.L.A. provides computers with e-mail and internet access free of charge.
	Starting dates / Duration of course You can start your course every Monday and study for as many weeks as you wish.
	Evaluation test We ask our students to come once only at 08 :00 am on their first day in order to participate in our placement test. During the evaluation of the test you will participate in an introduction into our school and receive practical information about your stay at I.L.A. From the results of your test you will be placed in a class suitable for your current level. You will than be introduced to your teacher and start your course at 09 :30 am.
	Levels We offer courses for all levels – from absolute beginners (only one-to-one tuition) to advanced level.
	Course offer · Standard Course (20 lessons) · Intensive Course (30 lessons) · Standard Course + One-to-One tuition (20 + 6 lessons) · Standard Course + Business French (20 + 10 lessons) · DELF/DALF Exam Preparation (20 or 30 lessons) · One-to-One tuition (15, 20, 25, 30 or 40 lessons)
	Exams & Certificates I.L.A. prepares you for the DELF and DALF exams. These are the only French as a foreign language exams recognised by the French Ministry of Education. They are internationally valid. An I.L.A. certificate of achievement is issued to students who have regularly attended their courses.
	Age The minimum age for participation in our courses is 16 years. The ages vary between 16 and 75 years.
	Excursions & Activities I.L.A. offers an attractive excursion and activity program. The program changes weekly and offers guided tours of the historic center, excursions to Avignon, Carcasonne, Provence, the Camargue etc. We also organise activities like visits to the theatre, museum, wine bars, dinners with I.L.A. staff in restaurants as well as wine tastings.
	Montpellier Montpellier, capital of the Languedoc-Roussillion region, has a long tradition as a University city and is home to one of the biggest and best know Universities of France – more than a quarter of Montpellier’s 250 000 inhabitants are students. Montpellier offers a beautiful historic center with narrow picturesque streets, elegant private mansions dating back to the 16th century and many tree shaded cafés, and also a very interesting cultural life. Thanks to its countless historical treasures, the city is officially called a ‘Ville d’Art’. Many street musicians and artists as well as a variety of famous festivals contribute to its cultural life. The warm, mediterranean atmosphere is reflected in the day to day life of the town. Montpellier opens like an amphitheatre towards the Mediterranean with ist long, sandy beaches and étangs (lagoons) with huge colonies of wild, pink flamingos. Thank to its excellent location between Provence, the Camargue and the Pyrenees, Montpellier offer a wide range of excursion opportunities. The climate is excellent. Summer lasts until late October and the sun shines for more than 300 days per year….
